Treat Wooden High End Outdoor Furniture
High end outdoor furniture – Left untreated, the garden furniture added natural decay and pest infestation. Some high-end garden furniture contains chemical preservatives that make the wood less attractive to pests and tolerable to the outside elements. If the manufacturer’s label does state not that garden furniture is factory processed, you must use a protecting yourself. Teak oil in combination with cleaning and light sanding will bring out the shine of your garden furniture and prolong life.
Apply teak oil to the surface of the wood high end outdoor furniture before use. Follow label instructions for application. Most manufacturers suggest using teak oil with a lint-free cloth or brush. Wash your furniture with soapy water at the end of the season. Fill a bucket with hot water and a squirt of detergent. Apply soap foam with a sponge rub gently to remove dirt.
Spray high end outdoor furniture with a garden hose. Let it air dry overnight, then rub down with fine sandpaper to remove oxidation stains. Wipe the furniture with a dry lint-free cloth. Apply teak oil as directed. Store wood furniture in an area call from external influences – especially if you live somewhere that has harsh winters. Bring it out again in the spring, rewashing and oiled again, after the season has ended.
